97MAG was started in March of 2024 by Matt “Sledz” Sledziewski. The idea Matt had when starting this magazine, was to grow skateboarding within the Buffalo area and to give the skaters here a platform to display their skills and showcase what they can do. Everything done with this magazine will be completely DIY. We will take photos and shoot full video parts for interested skaters and put them out as collective movies for the world to see. We will do write ups and interviews with some of the quintessential figures within the skateboarding community. Eventually, we would love to make physical magazines, hats, shirts, and possibly even design decks to help grow the skateboarding community even further. Last but not least, we have many ideas for skating events. Whether it be competitions or benefit skates for the community, we have a lot up our sleeve.
